SAM - Smart Asset Management - is a mobile offline maintenance and customer service solution for SAP customers running PM or CS.
It is built on top of SAP technologies like SAP SQL Anywhere, SAP MobiLink and SAP UI5. It covers all relevant plant maintenance and customer service processes.

Technical Details
SAM is a platform independent solution running on smartphones, tablets and laptops with Windows, Android and iOS operating systems. The mobile client is based on Apache Cordova, SAP UI5 and SAPs UltraLite database. All development on the client is running out of the box on all device platforms.
The middleware is based on SAP MobiLink 17, SAP's fastest and most reliable synchronization technology. It supports SAP HANA, SAP SQL Anywhere, MS SQL and Oracle as database.
SAM is completely built with open industry standards:
- ABAP for the integration layer in SAP
- SQL for the configuration of SAP MobiLink
- SAP UI5, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS on the mobile device
SAM can be installed on premise or in the cloud, running on SAP HCP (HANA Cloud Platform).
